RAM Upgrade

My brother has 2x 1GB RAM sticks that he said I can have if they work for my computer.

The computer I want to put it in is a Compaq Presario P8656P

This is the RAM:

How do I find out if it will work in the Compaq?

You could look at your memory sticks in the Compaq or if you have a manual. I believe it uses DDR RAM. Which means this memory wouldn't work since it is DDR2 and different pins and notch (unless the compaq also has DDR2 slots which would be set apart from the regular DDR slots and labeled on the motherboard).
