random drops

Since i have installed hl² and css i'm having problems with
cs css and hl²
my css i guess it starts the screens turns black stays like that for a few seconds and returns to my desktop

cs and hl² i'm able to play this games
but after some time (random some times 1 houre sometimes a second) they just crash to my desktop without an error or something

my specs
r9800pro
amd xp 3000+
1024 ram
nvidea soundstorm (onboard soundcard)

sounds like my problem with hl2, ill be playing and it will randomly drop me to the desktop without an error message or anything
