Random letters on my Screen... HELP!

Hey guys ... I was trying to play cs:s a few minutes ago and instead of having pictures my weapons and equipment at the top of my screen when i press a number ( 1, 2 , 3, 4) ... I would get letters there instead ... and in the upper right corner of my screen where it shows who killed who ... instead of having the picture of the weapon that person killed the other guy with ... it has Random letters all over the place in that corner of the screen ... I used the search function and couldnt find anything for this so sorry if it's been posted before ... Do i need to reinstall or what??? Thanks guys ... ;(

EDIT: No I have not downloaded any homemade maps or anything like that ...

Well you should of found something, because this problem has already been solved in the CS:S HUD Problem thread.
