Well, fair enough, but you were still the one to push the issue in the first place. Anyway, everything is subjective to a degree, and just because it's "next-gen" doesn't mean it's immune to criticism on a technical level. Call of Duty 4 was next-gen, and although it looked alright, the engine wasn't anything special and I never really found myself impressed by the visuals. Halo 3 is in the same boat. Fallout 3 as well, although that's an old engine.Let me clarify by going into a bit detailed explanation of what happened.
First by saying 2 other people involved. One who told me he didnt enjoy the game. Another who told me everything is opinion based.
When he told me the graphics suck, I merely told him that its not possible, that Dead Space is a "next gen" (new console) game in terms of visuals. So I asked him if his settings were wrong, or if it was an fps issue, or mouse delay that was making him believe the "graphics suck".
This is when the second friend abruptly joins in, and tells me its other people's opinion to think the graphics are bad. I proceeded to tell him while this may be true in terms of art direction or graphical direction, you cannot possibly be opinionated and say a game has bad graphics from a technical stand point, when it is very 100% clear that it is not. But he insisted that "everything" is an opinion and that I am wrong to say the graphics are good in the game.
I dont see how I am the aggressor when I was merely explaining how the "graphics" dont suck, and I am attacked labeled by my friend, as he usually does as one who tries to "impose my opinions on others" when it is perfectly clear there is no opinion based comment that I made.

Personally I'm pretty impressed with Dead Space, but I can see how someone might not be taken aback by it, it's not bereft of technical flaws. Although yeah, most likely his computer just sucks.
Okay, fair enough. The initial point was that my friend was asking what game he should get, and I recommended Dead Space, and I told him to tell me how he liked it after he played, since I havent played it yet myself. So when he said he didnt like it, I merely wanted a better explanation than "it sucks". Which led to bla bla bla as said above and in the OP.

If Dead Space scares you, you are a gigantic baby. You are a 30ft. tall mewling, crying, pampers-wetting infant.Well, obviously a ton of reviewers gave Dead Space the crown of being one of the scariest game
