Its a good film, but thats a little far don't you think? I guess it just goes to show you that a killer final act in any film will make up for the rest of it being mediocre.

No.

:D

I'm not sure if I've posted about this before, but the last I film I watched was Labyrinth. Not Pan's Labyrinth, though, which is what you're probably thinking, I'm talking about the 1986 film with David Bowie in. It's a Jim Henson film and I give it 9/10. Bowie is awesome in it!!

What babe?
The babe with the power.
What power?
The power of voodoo.
Who do?
You do.
Do what?
Remind me of the babe...

Damn it, Warbie, you've got that song stuck in head now!!!!

Edit: Just couldn't resist typing those lyrics!!!

I swear to god, if I could get away with it, I'd kill everyone who ever worked on that film.

Labyrinth gave me nightmares as a young child. :(

I've been trying to find some decent sci-fi films to watch over the last few weeks. So far I've watched...

Minority Report
- 9/10

Twelve Monkeys - 8/10

Aliens - 9.5/10

If anyone else can think of some good sci-fi flicks, I'm all ears.

I've seen Gattaca, but I'll definitely look into the other two, ta. I'm guessing the original Solaris is better than the remake?

Gattaca, Dark City, Solaris?

Strange, probably what I would have said.

Tomorrow I'll be doing a movie marathon since my exams have finished. Any suggestions? Anyone recommend me any good foregin Korean/Japanese/Chinese cinema worth watching?

Apparently so according to critics (haven't seen the original yet), but Soderbergh's Solaris is really underrated.

Star Wars. :p

Also, Bladerunner... I actually gave it another viewing and it was great.

Well I'll definitely give both versions a look at some point, Dark City too.

Star Wars. :p

Always a good shout. I watched the blu-ray final cut at Christmas on a 50" Plasma - it was truly epic. I suppose it's due another watch.

As for Star Wars...:bonce:

I saw the original years ago and was quite bored. The recent version is a lovely, thought provoking movie. It's probably not for everyone, but I was engrossed from start to finish.

Jimmeh: watch Sunshine.

I have Solaris (the 70s version) on my PC but I haven't seen it yet, it doesn't look very interesting tbh. Event Horizon isn't great sci-fi but it's entertaining.

Kingdom of Heaven: 8/10
Once: 8/10
Independence Day: 6/10

Will Smith fighting aliens gets an automatic 5 points, no matter how bad the rest of the film is. And another 1 point is added because I realized that the guy who played Jayne in FireFly was Major Hitchell.

Once Upon A Time In Mexico - 6.5/10

Johnny Depp and the music made this film. Also, Selma Hayeks boobs ftw :D

Labyrinth gave me nightmares as a young child. :(

I think I know why:

Again, I'm sure if I've posted this before, but I've just watched Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith and as always I rate it 10/10. It has one of the best musical film scores I've heard, definitely the best score out of all six films. I love the fact that it is light-hearted at the beginning of the film to mask the darkness later on. i also love the fact you get a glimpse of Hayden Christensen's six-pack!!! :naughty:

Oh, and Sedako, I rofled so hard at your post!!! :E

Permission to say something very negative about Revenge of the Sith and a 10/10 rating?

Gremlins: 7/10

Go ahead. It's your opinion anyway, so i can't very well argue against it. i won't take offence.

6/10 for the worst cartoon ever? That's pretty high.

I may have exxagerated. It was completely underwhelming. It did absolutely nothing. It made me angry. But I suppose it wasn't the worst

The Others - 7/10...

Meh, it manages to be fairly creepy up until they start shoving the twist hints done your throat.

I think I know why:

Didn't notice that when I was little, but now... you've raped my childhood memories.
Thank you.

Anyways, it was mostly all the trolls and shit that creeped me out.

edit: Oh... **** MY FIRST DOUBLE POST!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...................

The Strangers (2008) 5/10 = HORRIBLE
You Don't Mess with the Zohan (2008) 9.7/10 ****ing hilarious, not to mention the script was genius!

Final Destination 3 - 8/10

The plot is kinda old by this time but the deaths were still inventive and funny so I did enjoy it. And WOW@leadingactress.

Solaris (2002) - 8.75/10

Well I did a bit of reading on the interwebs before I watched this, and I really don't understand where all the hate comes from. I thought it was beautifully shot, and had me glued to the screen from start to finish. Special mention to the soundtrack as well, really puts you in an almost dream-like state while watching. Maybe a lot of peoples expectations were a little off, if the pre-release trailer is anything to go by. Horses for courses I guess.

Juno - 8.5/10

Gets and automatic five points for Michael Cera and Jason Bateman. Turns out the rest is pretty good too, I really enjoyed it. I had no idea who Ellen Page was beforehand, but now all I can say is = <3

It's your opinion anyway, so i can't very well argue against it.

This is not a concept I am familiar with! But I wasn't going to argue...only say that I felt 10/10 was a tad high for something as mediocre as ROTS.
