Im going to post this on the Steam forums as well once i sign up but this is a BIG problem that i havent seen mentioned before.
We all know with steam that once you login onto a user account for the first time it downloads CS.
But did you know that because it put CS in your account folder on the hard drive that if you login as someone else, i.e. your mate comes around and want to see his buddies that are online and join them in a game of CS then he has to download CS again into HIS account.
Now, i havent tested this, but you could probably just copy and paste the CS files from your account into his account as downloading it, even on Broadband can be teadious. What this does is leave you with two exact copys of a game with only maybe the keys changed!!! 400MB wasted.
Now for most of us, that may also not be a problem, but when i play CS at uni, where we can download the entire 400MB in under 5 mins, it does cause problems and i would ask Vavle to maybe look into a way around it.
P.S. PLEASE tell me if im just being a n00b about this, really, I just dont get it.
