Is this coming on pc? I ordered it on 360 which will suck if the MP is good...then again, installing GTA 4 on the pc was more trouble than it was worth iirc.

I'm not really optimistic about it. I don't really think you can make a successful multiplayer game these days without making a multiplayer one of the core priorities for development. All of the games I frequently play online right now either have mediocre/short singleplayer elements, or none at all (Bad Company 2, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead series). The best singleplayer games I've played so far this year usually just have throw-away multiplayer, or just don't bother with it (Metro 2033, STALKER, Mass Effect 2, Just Cause 2).

Indeed, and given how much of a troubled development RDR has had, I'm a bit disappointed by this.

But hopefully the single-player portion of the game will still turn out great.

Yeah same. Plus I can remember the 360-crowd on this forum had a blast with it when it came out.

It had no longevity and, other than cops and robbers (a gametype that encourages teams not to meet - hence long periods of driving around and no action at all), the gametypes were borrowed from fps and totally unsuited. There should have been scenarios that work to GTA's strenghts - rob a bank followed by trying to escape. Escort the money van. Raid the drugs lab. Break the mob boss out of prison. Anything but death match and zone control! You can play GTA4 mp for hours and spend very little of your time doing what makes GTA fun.

I own both consoles so I was gona get whichever console version is better optimised, generally that's 360. But Shaker has a ps3 so DUDE Gang ftw.

I might hold out on the reviews and see if the PS3 ends up being better optimized or getting some form of nice exclusive content announced for it, hmm.
