Well, I see it as this. If ATI and Valve have a partnership (i.e ATI bundles HL 2 with their new line of cards), and if ATI plans on releasing it on 9/30, wouldn't you think in order to keep this deal, contract or whatever going, they would wanna try to release it on 9/30 with no delays? I mean, if HL 2 is delayed, do you think ATI will release a vanilla version with a few game demos, UNTIL HL 2 is released - then re-bundle the 9800TX with HL 2?

I usually get pissed when trolls and their brethren bash someone for posting repeat info, but its sort of silly when there are related threads on the front page of general discussion. Using search is one thing, but would it kill you to scan the first page?

Actually, nothing that is says is out of the ordinary.
We already knew:

* There was an ATi Event
* It was at Alcatraz
* It was taking place at the end of September
* Half-Life 2 is going to be in a bundle with a new card.
