who cares whats on a dollar bill? just as long as you can still exchange it for... err... whatever you buy in the states...

i dont even know who is on UK money, apart from the queen of course. or is the queen the only person.. i dont look at my money, i spend it ;)

Alexander Hamilton = no name president?!?!?

Hamilton is a national hero you dolt.

Reagan should share the dime with FDR, one on each side, drop the building

Hamilton's the one who got pwned in the face by Aaron Burr, if I remember correctly. Reagon on the 10 would be a bit odd - I don't think he should be on it personally. Maybe he can be on the $15 dollar bill in 2075.

Charles Darwin is on £10 bills, and some guy called Sir Edward Elgan on £20's

Well I dont really think he should be on the $10, if they want him on a dime, ok, whatever, but I just dont think he needs to be on money to remember him. And if they do put him there, get a better picture of him, that one doesnt look that great. (and yes i know its jsut a photoshopped example)

They should put the Queen of England's face on it...that would rule :bonce:

He was a great President. Mr. Reagan almost single-handedly defeated the USSR without even firing a shot. Decent my a**.

Hitler took over Poland without firing a shot :p

They are simply taking advantage of his death for publicity (November just keeps getting closer....)

Politics....

wow you guys really care about your history, which is ironic because you have so little of it :p.
Who really cares who is on the bloody note how does it affect you :p

Well, some people wanted David Beckham to be on the £10 notes over here.

Should have jade goody on all the notes for a bit off class :p

no it wouldn't, we want our money to be worth something. not wipe our a**es with it.

yup we're not doing all that bad for a country with a goverment thats only slighting over 300 years old.

Reagan? pfft.
Gordon Freeman would make a better representation.

They should make a new bill for him, the $35 cuz how many times have you had to break a second 20 while getting gas, or a 50, i mean who wants all those troublesome 1's and 5's.

Tho this would prolly go off as well as the $1 coin, with the indian on it, i think i still have one of those, it sure is preddy...

Okay, first of all, calling America's history insignificant because of the young age of our country is pretty moronic. I'd venture to say that the history of America has more bearing on the events of today than any other contemporary nation's history.

Secondly, I bet you have an opinion on the war in Iraq even though it probably has little effect on your day-to-day life.

Au contraire! It was the stagnation of the Soviet system and a chronic lack of money that did in the USSR.

This had its beginnings in the late 70s. Although external pressure (such as the USA) did play a role, it was the huge technological advances made by the USA in the 80s that finally broke down the USSR.

Reagan only played a relatively minor role. He was mainly occupied with funding terrorist groups (the Nicaraguan contras), illegally selling arms (2000 anti-tank missiles to Iran) or making deals with terrorist groups (Lebanon hostage crisis).

*Edit - I can't spell hostage :(

You know? I don't give a shit what you put on your $10 bill. It won't make
USA a democracy anyway.

Yeah, I was juust about to say that. I can't belive that the americans are so arrogant that they think they brought dow the USSR, and not Gorbatjov(sp).

The US isn't a democracy? News to me.

And probably every single American.

It's a democratically structured Republic.

We don't vote on any the issues, we vote in the people who will then make a vote representing our region (City to County/Parish to State to Nation)

To make a democracy you will need more than just the right to vote. In that case, Soviet and Iraq was democracies too. You will also need full freedom to wright and think what you want. And that is not allowed in the US, is it? And how many DID vote in the last election? 40%?

1.It matters what school you go to.

2.Just because the (enter bad word here) doesn't know history doesn't mean our School system is horrid.
