How many of you have been scammed by a major corporation or politician?? There is probably not one person here who hasn't been ****ed by some douche bag organization or institution in one way or another. Now this may sound like a Captain Obvious speech but some people here may not even know to what extent a scam can do to a person or their family.

One such scam that I know all too well is this: Plastic

If your thinking you need a credit card, they can be a great tool. And those who are looking to buy a house or a car, its a much needed necessity. I have used them myself for items, books, vacations, etc. They have come in handy but out of nowhere they can jack your interest rate sky high and rake in record profits off the backs of hardworking people.

Another scam that comes to mind is extended warranties.

A lot of times there is a lot of fine print and to fully understand the package, you'd have to read a 20 page disclaimer. Say you bought a PC and you didn't read the extended warranty you bought. Basically it may cover all the physical damage to the machine, but realistically most of the time a software or maleware problem will occur that will break the machine down. I'm not speaking from experience in this situation, but I do realize its a scam.

So if you have any bullshit stories or complaints about scams, let them be heard.

I'm too skeptical to be scammed.

A poll without a joke option? Surely you jest!

My grandpa has entered into pyramid schemes MANY TIMES.
Come on DUDE

The joke option is that it's multi-choice, so you can vote for all of them.

I've never been scammed.

I'm not stupid enough.

My dad's new wife keeps getting wrapped up in those things. :(

Pissing away money into those. Thinking she'll be able to start a business with it and make revenue.

Well, I've bought games from Australia... So I'd like to think I've been scammed.

More of my own stupidity then anything, but buying a game off STEAM and not realizing it's US currency. Ended up paying $67 instead of the advertised $45.

Musk, that reminds me, I bought a white PS3 rumble controller off play-asia.com and it cost me about $70 after taxes. needless to say it is rare here in the states, because i have yet to see a Sony PS3 rumble controller here that is white and not a 3rd party. I have to charge it every other day now, and before it used to be like once a week at most

ive been scammed on Diablo2, does that count?

Yea, I'm too paranoid to be scammed, I'd never get a credit card simply because interest rates are so ****ed.

Colon Cleansing is unfortunately a big ass scam that my dad falls into.
