Pick that up. Now put it in the trash.

f you!

*FFZZZTTT* uhhhh

what was ZT doing in toronto. I mean, that's like something he'd do.

Outbreak Outrbreak OUTBREAK bbbbbbbbeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeppppppppp

*brag alert* Sorry guys... but I have to do this..

OP, YOU DON'T KNOW ME!

Fake, they have the combine symbol on their badges.

Dude... do you actually do anything with your time besides making cosplay costumes? :P

Revise, goddamnit!

Looks pretty cool. I'm gonna start sculpting a combine mask soon, once college is over and I have some time ^_^

just get this gas mask and this vest. The vest needs to have to shoulder pads removed, and the front replaced with velcro. You'll need 2 inch reflective tape for the reflective parts.

Then it's a question of the PVC part for the bottom filter, a cap on the front filter, replacing the eye pieces. (cut out of mirror aviator sunglasses) and making the head cowl.

get one of those headcrab hats and you can make a nice combine zombie.

Doing a combine soldier is much more difficult. 70% of the CP get up is off the shelf, 20% modified and 10% scratch built.

No, if she (anyone) intends to make an accurate combine mask it should be done from scratch. That one is pretty innaccurate to the original model and only has a few features that are the same. Plus it's rubber, so you couldn't really build upon it.

Also, a combine soldier would be easier and more than likely, cheaper.
The mask would be about as hard as to make as the CP mask would be (possibly easier because combine soldier mask is more organic looking)
But all you would need for everything else is jumpsuit, combat boots, straps, and some sort of builtproof vest.
The little plates of armor that strap to the thighs, arms, and crotch could be easily done with vacuform.

Not really, you can clearly see from concept art that the original CP mask was based on the mask used:

The camo of the combine soldier has no real world counter part thus would be expensive and you couldn't vacuum form the armour plates because they are clearly soft armour.

I want to make a metrocop helmet because I think they're damn awesome, but I don't think I'd be able to do the rest of the outfit. The jacket and vest etc would have to be made from scratch if they were to look accurate. I could just go down the "stuff that looks similar" route, but if I'm gonna spend money on something like this I'd want to do it as properly as possible. One day, eh? :)

With the vest and mask I linked, plus maybe 40 bucks at your army surplus. (black pants wiht stripe, dark blue or black combat shirt.) you are just some reflective strip and a head cowl away from what is up in the OP.

The vest would have to be completely scratch built to be 100% accurate and would greatly increase the cost. PM me and I can direct you to the places you need to get the parts.

Acctually ZT, that helmet is pretty accurate and was used before by someone i remember, results were pretty good.

Actually the armor is clearly totally hard and covered in a thin layer of foam and then jersey material.

ZT Trolling and mocking peoples works.
Respect -1

How am I mocking people's work because if I were to hypothetically make a suit I would not want to buy a few pieces and throw it together and say "there, it's accurate"?

Go back a page.
It builds up brotha.

What builds up? So I was sarcastic one minute, then he was nudging back with sarcasm with the Gabe Newell diss, then I nudged back sarcastically.

Thennn we started talking about building Combine suits/helmets, what would be most accurate/effiecient. And so then, when I say what would be more accurate you go......... "Look at that sarcastic post he made on the other page, he's mean!"

They are not related. One was a sarcastic nudge back and forth, then the next page was talking about how to actually build an accurate combine helmet/suit.
Separate the difference between sarcastic nudges between two people, and serious "how to" critisisms/suggestions between two people.
Now do ye get it? Lez drope it?

1. Aesthetic Accuracy and 2. Durability/strength.
So, saying "you couldn't vacuform the armor plates" is really silly. Because 1. Yes you could and 2. They would last you longer and look better 3. It's durable because it's light weight, plastic, and only a few small pieces not interfering with the joints.

I will now go out and buy 20lb of Kevlar plating instead of making it [armour] out of styrofoam.

^This is now fixed. hehe.

But in seriousness, I appologize to the OP for my sarcasm in the begining, and I made the joke because I thought you were alluding to the fact that the suit wasn't yours, so don't take it seriously (didn't see the link at the bottom). But the second page was just genuine discussion/criticism/explanation. But for serial, your suit is fun, and probably most creative out of the entire event.

No, I totally understand where you come from. I am inactive member of 405th so accuracy is a big thing to me for some things. (I was the first person to make a proper scale Mark 5 master chief Armour) but for the purpose this costume is actually for and the fact it isn't high definition tells me the extra time and money is misplaced.

Here is a teaser for why the costume was created in the first place. (the protest was just for fun)

I love pictures with Citadels shooped in. Also, itt: ZT threadrape.
