On the fire... It needs to be much more randomly shaped in the general sense.
The 'texture' and 'shading' (you know what I mean) are good, but it should be much more irregular, and possibly a little softer and more transparent.

Thats a close up of one of the "concepts" for that HL2 mod. Why didn't you want to show the full thing?

Whether or not he does graphics, he still was trying to give you some useful suggestions on how to improve your art piece (even if he was pretty brute about it ), and that should be taken into account, rather than just tossed aside and taken as an insult.

what mod are you talking about fenric? a lot of stuff is getting thrown around in this thread and no one is backing it up.

It looks *exactly* like a match just lighting up, you know that extra glare it gets, extra bright with less yellow in it. I suggest you make it a match and simply place a piece of wood in from the side (like ^-- with ^ being fire and -- being rest of the match).

Pretty nice other then that.
