Can anyone give me a recommendation for a very slim keyboard. I'd prefer for the incline not to be very steep, and if it is illuminated that would be a +. Also, I'd like the keys to be almost level with the base of the keyboard(sort of like a mac).

Thanks

thinnest in the world!

^ I was going to suggest that one or the Creative Fatal1ty keyboard:

An exceptional keyboard, for those that like flat boards.

There is also a rubber type keyboard I've seen somewhere that rolls up, like a carpet.

My dad got that a long time ago, it's quite neat.

do flat keyboards strain your hands or is that just rubbish??

Not for me, I find it easier. There's less key travel and less reaching. Traditional keyboards are sloped, so it's like your fingers have to go up and down stairs all day. That's the best way I can explain it. It's probably just the height of the keys that makes it feel like that.

I really can't stand flat keyboards. I especially can't stand keyboards with flat keys. I need keyboards with giant palm rests and huge, clicky keys with a lot of feedback -- but none of that ergonomic crap.

Same, but too fat is also annoying, i need medium-small keys, and the KB needs to be slanted up.

Flexible USB keyboard.

Great for travelling and when you want your laptop screen further away from you.

Because theres no rest for your hands though, typing can feel awkward.

And the buttons are sylicon which requires a harder push of the buttons.

Just get one of the Mac ones. I can understand why you like them; they're excellent.

Cant stand slim keyboards or flat keys. One reason why I never really liked laptops. Mac keyboards were probably the best slim ones I've used though, even though I still hated it.

I'm using the Logitech UltraX keyboard:

It's not a state of the art keyboard by any means, but it's flat, cheap and good. Mine is already pretty old (still has a Windows XP logo key on it), but there are newer models.

Isn't there a logitech slim keyboard that is pretty good?

Obviously after some time with a keyboard you'll know for yourself but the reason why slim keyboards and others are often not good regarding comfort is because of feedback. For most people their fingers are not as tired when typing on keyboards with good feedback (click) or raised keys because it is easier for your body to get used to exactly how much effort is needed to do the stroke and less sore fingers (even if you have to click the key harder).
Now if you have got to that point while using a slim keyboard, awesome. Then just make sure hand posture etc is good.

I love my slim keyboard's scissor-style laptop keys but I hate laptops.

This. I hate cheap flat keyboards (like those in most laptops) just as much as I hate those cheap keyboards that come with pre-built computers.

Sorta tried one earlier. It was like using a laptop's which isn't all that annoying compared to some more extreme flat ones I've tried.
