Well the 22nd has basically came and gone and no new announcement from Valve. I must say I'm not suprised. I didn't think that a boy living with his mommy would have the elite insider info direct from the fat man himself. I think The Gabester played this fool for all he's worth.. Either that or he made it all up..

"I know.. I'll make up some big bs story about how they are going to release HL2 via steam 2 weeks before it's release 'but encrypted' and then enable it on the 30th. I think the latest news from gamespot is more in line..

HL2 has not gone gold.
HL2 is not going to be available on Steam on the 30th.
HL2 will not be out until November at the earliest..

Hmm first of all it was one week before not two, second of all he wasnet told any date this info would be anounced, that was what i can tell only his own conclusion.

Why don't you cut the guy some freaking slack? Maybe in all the excitement surrounding his trip, he forgot about it until a couple days ago...maybe after he left, something drastic happened and Gabe and them changed their mind. Maybe everything is going right on plan...they are just waiting til the last second on 9-22 to announce it? There's still 8 HOURS til midnight on the west coast...

Honestly, the guy gets to go hang out at Valve's offices, and you can't do anything better than whine? I can see where D33 is coming from with his "community attitude" post....

It will be done when it's done. You DO remember them saying they want it to be a kick ass game, so deadlines wouldn't make that happen.

Exactly so...Gabe never gave me any dates...he just said Steam would begin uploading the game a week before it came out...nothing confirmed for the 30th came from anyone's mouth while I was at Valve.
 
I'm just going sit back, relax, and wait for the 30th. If nothing by then, I'll sit back, relax, play Jedi Academy, Halo, Homeworld 2, and wait a little more. And if it's delayed for another year like HL1, I'll sit back, relax more, play some DX2, Stalker, Doom III, etc. etc. And if it's delayed indefinately like Duke Nukem Forever, I'll sit back, relax, and forget about it.
 
i find that everyone spamming are the headcrabs (mostly due to those fags makeing their accounts only to spam) so admins should make it so headcrabs can only post 1nce in a day. That way, it wont give those spammers much to work with.
