Reasons why it's worth being PC gamer in '06

What's so funny about it? I mean, HL2 is the shit. Otherwise, why are you on the site...?

wow there's easily a dozen must haves and another dozen "wait for reviews and then decide" games on that list. Lots of games I've never heard of and a few that were unexpected or have piqued my interest. Although I'm kind of disappointed there isnt all that many quality fps to look forward to but the sheer amount of rpg's, mmo's and rts make up for that ...I'm hoping this isnt a trend for fps. That dx10 game has me worried ..may need to double up my vid card for it's release

one of the games mention, GUNZ is already out. There's a beta I dl'ed last night but havent installed. It's a mmo fps that combines shooting with matrix like moves ..anybody try it or want to try it and give me their impressions? :)

Yeah, too many games that I want to mention here, but with this many, its gonna cost plenty this year.

Not to mention the new DX10 GPU, the PPU, the HDTV, the next-gen console (whichever has the best games by the end of the year--maybe 2?). Ugh, gotta tighten the belt a notch....

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Goshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Jagged Alliance 3d (creams His Pants)

That line up is mainly why im not going to bother with the next gen consoles, the PC tech is going to be way more worth it as far as im concerned. Missing out on Xbox 360 and PS3 im not really that bothered i can moderately play it at a friends house from time to time.

Well, if Company Of Heroes is like Dawn Of War it'll be awesome.

(On an unrelated note. Imperial Guard rock!)

Used to play it excessively, It's quite fun... hardly any lag. The graphics are archaic but doable.

Gameplay is very hectic, and pretty deep-ish... Swords deflect bullets, you can even climb walls with your sword.

Movement is awesome, you can run along walls and perform all sorts of crazy stunts.

Downsides are that it gets really repetitive and the level design is rather bland and really nothing to write home about.

hmmm I wonder why it was on that list ..especially if you say the graphics are sub par. Thanks dont think I'll install :)
