It has to:

be bluetooth capable, or wireless with a usb key
be full size or close to full sized
has to have two buttons and a scroll wheel
must be an optical mouse, im going to use it on a variety of surfaces

Just recommend me the cheapest one. Thanks in advance.

Edit: also has anyone used the kensington pilot mouse bluetooth? That fills pretty much all of my requirements except it is expensive, but that can be worked around.

MX518 50 dollars.
1600 dpi with sensitivity switch, so you can tone it down when ur sniping.:sniper:

I know that this may not go down well here, but the Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse is a good choice, although its quite expensive.

I got this MS Explorer 4.0, but nothing to recommend because one of the buttons got crap and doesnt respond on all clicks.

I hear that MX-1000's are great. They'll run you about 60 dollars on newegg though.

Only one that I can think of that is bluetooth and full size is the MX900.

Don't get wireless, they always feel laggy and it's pointless unless you're in a cramped dorm and are always throwing your keyboard/mouse aside for the deskspace.

you'll probably find that the mx900 and mx1000 do not suffer from the lag you're talking about.

Neither does my mx700.

just make sure your reciver is not right next to an unsheilded fan (the magnets play tricks), and that your mouse is operating a good 5inches away from thje reciever (it will overwhelm it).

mx700 pwns.

I have that kensington but I don't usually use it because I have a better mouse that is USB cable. Yeh it's good and it is worth it if you can only have wireless but a wireless is not going to be good as wired.

The mx1000 is a very good mouse, but the 518 has better tracking and it has much better placed buttons than the razor. I keep accidentally pressing the buttons on my friend's razor.

Hey guys - I'm looking at a new mouse too - down to the MX518 or MX1000 - besides the obvious differences (corded vs. cordless, infared vs laser), is it just personal preferences that make one better than the other for gaming? MX518 is marketed as the "ultimate gaming mouse" by Logitech, but they don't say anything about gaming for the MX1000.
Thanks, Hulk
