Just started watching the classic 'Hoop Dreams'. What do you like?

Well what kind of Documentaries do you like?

Check out any Adam Curtis documentaries you can find, particularly The Trap and The Century of the Self. The last I checked you could find a lot of them on Google vids.

Planet Earth

NASA mission archives (When we left Earth), though I don't think this is out yet

Bigger, Stronger, Faster is a pretty interesting documentary on steroids, and Shadow Company takes a look at PMC's in Iraq.

Can't think of any others right now.

Anything with David Attenborough.

Also 'The Power of Nightmares' which is essential viewing.

Other documentaries (not by Curtis) I'd recommend are

'The end of Suburbia' (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0446320/)

and though to be taken with some degree of skeptism (and personal research on the claims):-

'America: Freedom to Fascism' http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0772153/

as well as the 'Zeitgeist' movies available through Google videos.

I hear the one about the homeless people that dress up like superheros to make money on Melrose in Hollywood is a good one, forget what it's called.

The Corporation is a good one too.

Agreed. I forgot about that one, but it's pretty much essential viewing if you want to begin to understand the inherent problems of unchecked capitalism.

Couldn't you dress up, or not dress up, as Hancock and get way with it :bounce:
