Alrighty, again, I need my Netflix queue filled up.

Recommend me some good TV shows!

Atm I've seen all of the Sopranoes, 24, Firefly, and JAG.

Preferably no anime.

Airwolf :p
The A-Team box 1 - 2 - 3

Basically the old 80's and 90's shows -> the good ol days :p
As for the new shows, i really like Prison Break.
Lost is also pretty good imo.

Battlestar Gallactica - start with introduction movie/mini series then work your way through season 1 & 2. Best sci-fi in ages.

Sharpe - can be had pretty cheap these days and is still the bollox.

Band of Brothers - pretty much a no brainer, everyone should have this.

Babylon 5 - not to everyone's taste, but still my fave sci-fi. Start on series 2 and be patient, it's epic.

Hill Street Blues - The TV cop show. Funny, dramatic, exciting. It's great.

Rescue Me

Twin Peaks

Buffy (**** you, it was a good show)

Six Feet Under

Six Feet Under - bloody mind bending greatness

The West Wing

X-Files

Band of Brothers

Rescue Me

Rescue Me is probably the best show on modern TV today. It's basically a really dark comedy about a group of FDNY Firefighters, and their lives. It's really politically incorrect, and really funny.

Twin Peaks is a great show too, just prepare for the cocktease of not getting a finale to it, because Lynch is too lazy/poor/whatever to release the second Season.

just watch firefly through a few more times

Exactly!

Also the  to excess sets a good example to everyone :E

Ah yeah, I just went out and bought the first 3 seasons to Buffy, Joss Whedon ftw!

I've seen all of Seinfeld, I saw the first 2 episodes of Rescue Me... I'll add that to my list.

Lost seems really boring, so pass. :X

I hated Deadwood, it should be renamed to Fuckwood, since that's all they say on the show.

I always thought Twin Peaks was a porno. :X

I watch A-Team almost every night on TV Land :p

Band of Brothers, I forgot I saw them all on the History channel... great series.

MASH, Isn't that the show that's about medics in WW2?

MASH is about medics in Vietnam. And Twin Peaks is far from a porno, and Lost is far from boring.

So, you take Buffy over Lost?

Wow, maybe I should just recommend Barney to you instead of The Wire, you'd probably enjoy the former better, even though the latter is one of the best shows on TV.

Isn't MASH in Korea?

Anyway, best TV mini series in the history of television...Band of Brothers. Also watch Lost and Battlestar Galactica.

Ingorance ftw. What a dumb**** post.

Most people look at Buffy and feel the need to swell up their testicles and bash it because it has vampires and a female protagonist (oh the horror). I assume this is one of those cases. The fantasy overtones are just covers for some very excellent writing and character development.

At the very least, Buffy was far more consistently good than Lost has been. And I say that as a fan of Lost.

Having watched several seasons of Buffy due to my sister, I have to say that I'm hardly ignorant. I truly thought the show was rubbish. Especially the farther along it got. Buffy had a great premise, and a pretty good cast, along with a great start. But I thought it was squandered. That's a personal opinion, but Whedon did a far better job with Firefly.

And Lost has had a really good premise and has been good at slowly feeding information to keep the audience interested.

Mash was set in korea ..the show lasted twice as long as the actual war. It's also one the best tv shows ever made

my recommendation: Six Feet under

I barely watch tv these days

gtfo lost is awesome...

Actully yeah i thought it was gonna be a bit bring, never watched it on TV, we had the dvd's here noone had really watched it i put it on the otherday caus i was bored and then didnt end up with sleep for 48 hours caus it was so awesome any time i had spare i watched it (ie time otherwise spent on sleep)... so maybe check em out... obviosly start with No.1.

Lost spends too much time cockteasing audiences. And they butchered Locke.

Season 3 is going to have to make some serious amends for a lot of the crap in Season 2. I wish David Fury would get back on board.

Haha...season 2 is what actually made me a Lost addict. I thought it delivered much more on its promise than in season 1.

Red Dwarf- season 7 at least is on DVD, and it's the best show ever.

Same here, actually. I kind of lost interest about halfway into season 1 for some reason, but something pulled me back to Season 2, and I ended up watching it religiously. I agree that the endings are incredible cockteases, though.

Alrighty, so for Lost... should I watch season 2 instead of 1?

Holy shit! Did I mention the Chaser's War on Everything? Might not be on dvd, but you can download it from...eh just google it. Funniest show on TV :)
