Hello,
I am in the process of setting up an eSports internet radio station. You might ask why I am doing this when there are already great eSports radio stations such as TsN. The answer is simple: eSports stations shouldn't be competing, but working together for the advancement and promotion of professional gaming.
I have already acquired a few assets: a Shoutcast server with 200 slots (more capacity can be added if need be), web hosting, web design (I'm quite good at it), a full vBulletin license, and a IRC chat room and bot. I also have a few friends that are very good broadcasters and have worked at some important stations (such as TsN and Cyberkast).
However, I am still in need of assets. I will be needing a dedicated staff to help out. Most importantly right now, I will be needing a PHP coder to create a content management system for our website. This can be achieved by being completely custom-made, or by using a vBulletin hack such as vBindex or vBadvanced. I will also need a skinner to help me apply my graphics to the forum.
In addition, if you have worked with internet radio at all, I will need administrative staff. These people will have to be mature (which I mark as 17 years of age or older) and be dedicated to their assigned jobs. I'm not afraid to fire people that don't do their job.
If you are more interested in a match broadcaster/dj position, you will need to have to be 17 years of age or older, have a good radio voice, and send in a demo of you broadcasting a match (can be recorded using programs like Acid or Adobe Audition). I DO teach people how to use Shoutcasting tools as long as they are quick learners. The more previous experience you have, the better. Match broadcasters will need to know that this station will be playing modern rock music and techno. Rap will be kept to a minimum.
Above all, you should be passionate about professional gaming.
Aside from the work that will need to be put into this project, it will be a fun experience. I'm looking forward to working with others to create a place that people can come to for gaming news and entertainment.
If you would like to apply for a job, please contact me at [email protected] with a FORMAL email.
Thank you, and may eSports live forever!
