Red Alert 3 cancelled?

Could it be true that it has been cancelled, even before it was officially announced? ;(

Apparently Mark Skaggs (the guy who wrote the e-mail announcing RA3) has taken extended leave, for family reasons.

If it's true, I'll be gutted. I need Kirov airships!

Yeah, I saw this a few days ago. It sucks, but I think Skaggs was fed up with EA. :| I want Kirovs too.

Red Alert 2 was a pretty good RTS, C&C: Generals was just "What have they done with this franchise!?", the same with Tiberian Sun. No C&C game has surpassed the original Red Alert yet.

Red Alert 2 was horrible.
Red Alert was alright.
Tiberian Sun was the best out of them all.
