I just reformated my harddrive, and loaded Windows XP.
Everything was running fine when I finished running the setup, and I had to reboot and load the O/S for the first time.
The problem is that when I try to load it normaly (not in safe mode) when I get to the welcome screen which is right before you choose the idenity you want to log in with, the screen will get all jittered, and messed up, and the O/S freezes and sometimes even reboots itself with me telling it to. So I try to load in safe-mode and I figure out that it's not liking my graphics card, I find out because I get this error message when I boot in safe-mode.
"The driver for the display device was unable to complete a drawing operation. Please check with the device manufactuer for a driver update."
and it has one of those
"Send" "Don't send" dialouges at the bottom of the error message.
So I know its a driver issue, and I pop in the disc that came with my video card that has the display drivers and everything. But since its in safe-mode it can't install.
Since I can't install I try to just shut down from safe-mode, turn my computer off, and load it normally about five minutes later. I am able to get it to work for only about two minutes. I tryed to load my drivers but in the middle of the install of the installation for the video card stuff, the operating system once again reboots without me telling it to.
If you can understand what I am saying and can help, then I would very much apreciate that.
I kinda rushed through explaining this in this post sorry about that, but I am kind of annoyed, and frustruated due to these problems.
I have loaded Windows XP before, and had the same problems, but I was somehow able to load the video card drivers. I don't remember how tho.
Specs :
1140mhz Pentium 3 processor
1024mb SDRAM
ATi Radeon 7000 64mb
80Gig 7200RPM HD
Thank you very much in advance.
