I have a dell 18" Flat Screen monitor, and a Radeon 9800p. The highest maximum refresh rate I can attain is 75mhz. Does anyone know a way to get it higher, or am I doomed to 75fps for the rest of my monitor life?

Do you have any drivers or are you using "Plug and Play Monitor"?

Microsoft's "Plug and Play Monitor" driver limits the refresh rate to 75Hz for compatibility reasons.

You probably just need your manufacturer's driver to tell Windows what your monitor is capable of...

Go to the 9800 pro properties. Go to the display tab, uncheck "use DCC information" Now you can change the maximum refresh rate, maximum res. or whatever.

It just says "Plug and Play" Monitor. Where can I d/l the drivers?

Under the settings tab, go to advanced. That will bring you to your 9800 pro properties. Then do what i said.

right click desktop -> settings -> advanced -> monitor ->
(it will say monitor properties and have a little icon, beside it a button that says properties.)
-> properties -> driver - >update driver ->
then choose to install from list and click next
then dont search i will choose and next
unclick show compatible hardware and select if from the list.

good luck

i would make sure u do know ur monitor's highest capability, go any higher than that, and ull hurt it
