Hiya, I'm on Xmas holidays and a bit bored. Never posted on your forums before, but feel that I might add my comment to assist in a previous post by the named subject matter.
I normally (almost every single day) check, bbc news, theregister, hotmail, scan, and halflife2.net for daily updates about all the things I care about, sometimes more, but usually just enough to fuel my information needs. This has been going on for several years now. But this si my first post, and while I understand my forum post may get deleted or closed almost instantly for this I do feel it necessary to point out that the named subject matter needs a bit of backup.
He never denied the holocaust happened, he merely suggested that no one has witnessed the figures that have been suggested as having been murdered by the Nazis. We've all seen the photos, and very nasty they are as well. However there is not one of us that witnessed either first hand by being there, nor one single photo/video of all the millions being slaughtered.
He did make a valid point, albeit a very sensitive one at that. And after careful reading of his posts I think all he did was to make a prickly statement that touched a few nerves.
Yes the holocaust may have happened, and yes the millions as has been quoted may have died in the chambers etc. But as he said, we will never know the true extent ... who knows, maybe the figures were wrong and even more were killed ...
Sorry if this offends, but I do believe in free speech and I do think that Zleppelin should have been a bit more careful with his argumentative questions - however not be banned, from what I saw, his arguments would have merely added to an interesting article.
