I'm bored. So lets have a wack at the release month and see what the general level of confidence in Valve is at this stage, seeing as we've heard no news from them since Jesus switched the water jug with the wine one.

I can see every game company delaying their game once....but twice no.

So i think if valve did say april..then april it is .

If it isn't april then hay it is for possitive a couple of weeks into may.

Definiately not March.

But look to the East...i mean..look for the release of CZ in March. Because when that is released it will prove (hopefully) that Steam is ready for big releases.

And if the CZ release goes perfectly HL2 will follow soon after. But, knowing Valve, it won't go perfectly. It will probably be a complete catastrophe causing Half-Life 2 to be delayed for a further 2-3 months after April while they sought out the steam problems.

View CZ as the test run for the HL2 release.

Hate to nitpick, but Gabe did say that the game wouldn't have released on time regardless of the leak. I still maintain that the incident added to any potential delays, even if it wasn't a cause.

Hoping April, not even going to guess when its really coming out. Of course, we're yet to see any official statement... and as said I suppose missing April isn't really a delay unless its been confirmed :|

I bet that Valve will try to push for an April release, run into some small unforeseen difficulties and then finally release the game in May.

March is just too soon, considering the hype machine hasn't started yet and the game first needs to go gold and get shipped worldwide.
It better not be released after May, as the summer isn't a good time for gaming.
So I'll stick with May for now.
