Hopefully this is the right section to release maps in?

This is a relatively short map, but makes up for it in what it teaches you. The skill that you learn while completing this map is something that you never really needed to use in Portal, so mastering it in this map could increase your knowledge about what portals can do. I guarantee you that it is possible to complete. There are at least two different techniques that can be used to complete the map, one involving lots of player movement, the other involving very little.
You may find it difficult to place portals on small wall sections completely surrounded by metal. This is not the result of poor mapping. I'm guessing this is a big reason why you don't see these kinds of walls in Portal, since it takes lots of trial and error until its finally placed. Use your assets!
Reasons why this is _v1:
- This was made before the official SDK release, so I was unable to build cubemaps.
- I had to use an alternative method to making metal walls block portals. The only difference you'll notice between now and when the official SDK is out, is the friction when walking on metal. Everything else is the same.
- The only particle effect which I could find for making the goo hazier looking, was very large and could not be fitted into tight hall spaces which this map has. It resulted in the effects bleeding over into other parts of the map and causing lots of drops in frame rate, and it looked just plain ugly.
All these things will be fixed in the final version.

note: Theres a part near the end that you may feel your only choice is to kill your self and start over. You CAN NOT get stuck in this map. The way out is just not very obvious .
