I posted.

But then, I didn't vote, because there's no Conditionally option. So I don't count.

I personally think that not only are religion and politics good bedfellows, but are in fact intrinsically intertwined to form any kind of functional society. History has proved that theocracies work better tha-

<Splutters> Nah, I couldn't carry that on with a straight face.

Theocracies should be avoided like AIDS. There is absolutely no way that they serve the best interests of the populace.

Well that's kind of a narrow minded view, isn't it?
Religion being the original exponent of free-thinking.

No, Never.

I get really annoyed when I hear leaders saying that they are acting in the name of God.

My ****ing arse are they, its sickening.

Although, as you meant this question I'd have to say no, theocracies don't strike me as a good thing, being a rational anarchist.

However, religion and politics are inextricably entangled. Democracy these days is treated as a religion. People think that Democracies are morally good and tyrannies bad. I don't really hold with that kind of thinking.

Also, Christian religions are extremely political. Almost more so than governments. A teacher of mine whom I rather like and who happens to be a priest is being forced to retire because a liberal bishop in the diocese of Richmond was replaced with a conservative one due to the new pople.
