Removing Thermal compound from GPU

I have an Accelero S1 Rev2 which Im gonna put on my 8800GT.

I need to remover the thermal compound thats already on the GPU so I can put a fresh layer of Arctic Silver 5. Can anyone recomment a decent method in doing this?

I've seen Akasa TIM Clean (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Akasa-AK-TC-Tim-Clean/dp/B000BK7ATI) but I'm worried this may damage the GPU as it stats its for CPU's

All thermal paste is the same, right? So this should work for removing thermal paste off your GPU.

I use Arctic Silver Arcticlean with my Arctic Silver 5, works great (and smells lemony fresh!):

Unless you go pouring it all over your graphics card, it wouldn't work any differently then on the CPU, it would still dissolve the thermal paste all the same.

91% or higher Isopropyl rubbing alcohol always worked fine for me. GPU's as well as CPU's.

I second this. This stuff work really well, and doesn't just clean, but prepares the surface for the addition of new thermal paste. The best way to get the thermal paste off after applying the cleaner is to use Q-tips or cotton balls, as they won't put any microscratches in the heatsink.

Plus lint free cloth or q-tip.

Im gonna get some and will let you guys know how I get on. Im hoping the Accelero cooler wil do the trick.

Most safe methods of removing the paste will work fine, even wiping it off with a tissue/cloth will do fine. Alcohol works as well.
