who here is a hardcore fan, in my veiw those are people who only liked 1-3 due to the fact everyything afterward had gimicks. ex:

code vernica gimick list

1armed tyrant
gaint worm
crappy love story
transexuals
bats
ablert wesker

ive played re:zero, thats was crap, a leech man who sings to leeches and kills people OHHHHH!

i havent played the remake of 1 on the gamecube, and the res4 is just using the name for profit, the rest is magical crap (30ft orge)
 
I agree, zero was gay. The remake ownz thou! But I never played Code Veronica...
 
I've played 1, the remake of 1, 2 and 3. I think 4 looks good though. Don't call it crap just yet wait till its actually out.
 
I thought both remakes were excellent :)

The series has gotten stale, though, and is in serious need of fresh ideas. Luckily, no. 4 seems to offer this in spades :) From what little footage i've seen this could be the best Resident Evil yet - and far from a cash in.

Imagine a Resident Evil with fluid control and decent action - that's what Res 4 promises to offer. I loved the originals but their flaws, while forgivable, are pretty obvious. Times move on and so do video games \o/

u guys arent hardcore enough, leave, u have to hate re, becuase it just uses the name, nothing esle
 
Gajdycz: it seems like you are not 'hardcore' enough to me. stories change, if stories dont change you get the same thing over and over. RE4 is gonna kick some major ass, their just moving to story forward

what more could they do with the games, make more characters so we can see what happened the first night the zombies got out AGAIN!? i think its a good change, i rather see the same characters and how they have evolved.

im glad they got a new top guy, he seems to know what hes doing and is willing to take risks

and why you dont want to buy one? just cuz you cant mod the games?
 
^ it does seem a shame. For the last few years it has been on consoles that you'll find the highest quality, innovative games. There's so many decent titles on the horizon that won't be available on the pc - Res 4 being just one of them.

the best idea the games developers can hav is to make the games in all consoles and PC

imaginate that all the games were in all consoles and PC
 
If I didn't already own a Gamecube I'd buy one just for RE4, they are so cheap now and some of the best games this gen are exclusive to the little guy.
 
i love the Resident Evil series and all.. but the fact that its only available for console really ticks me off :frown:
its not about me not having a console.. i own a PS2 for those wondering.. i dunno how to explain it..

consoles for me were cool 12-13 years ago with NES and SNES...after that they got expensive (i don't have a problem purchasing consoles now tho) and thats how i lost my general interest.

i bought my PS2 about 2 years ago.. and have a few games for it.. have completed some but others i got about half way through and i dunno.. console gameplay = unplayable for me i just wish i can explain it.

i wish the Resident Evil series was available for PC.. i'd purchase it in a heartbeat.. but.. :(
sorry for sorta hi-jacking the thread.. but its a same some really neat games are only available in console format.. and the PC crowd misses out on em.
 
1-3 are classics. Never played anything after that. Not because i didnt want to, but because i stop buying consoles.

i have checked my local EB and they never seem to have any of the RE games for PC.

can u please provide links?

Played 1-3 Loved all. I heard remake of 1 was REALLY good. I also hear that 4 is suppose to be really good. Code:V the original was suppose to be good but X was suppose to be bad dunno. Thats what i heard.

Both movies were good liked 1st more then 2nd cant wait for 3rd.
 
I loved the ResEvil series, including RE:CV. I haven't played Zero or the RE1 remake on Gamecube though. IMO RE2 was the best game in the series, I loved the storyline, and how long the actual game was. I went and saw the movie however, and it was a complete fu*ken travesty. Everyone who didnt play the games loved it, but the people who were fans of the series thought the same as me. The storyline was completely wrong - it was just made to please the majority of movie-goers who hadn't played the games. Lets hope they do better next time.

P.S. RE4 looks fu*ken sweet. Ill be buying it! :thumbs:
