Resolution settings

I noticed that if I change the resolution settings for one game, it changes it for the rest too. But since HL2 needs a more powerful machine, I don't want switch the resolution back and forth when switching games.

Will HL2 have a different settings "File"?

most likely, since it uses a different engine, so your HL1 and mods will have one setting, while HL2 and its mods have another...

I think.. that would make more sense.

Well the CS:S Beta still uses the same resolutions as HL1 + Mods, AFAIK.

no it doesnt

after testing, the two are independant. probably because they use two different engines.

Just for reference, Half-Life keeps the screen resolution in a registry key.
