i turned dod source on to high of a res. and now it only is black. i tryied reinstalling source to see if that would work and reran video stress test but it didnt work. cs source works fine just not dod source. any help?
if you have the wrong aspect ratio the screen will go blank. To change the aspect ratio, right click the game, select properties then click on "set launch options" button under the general tab. Then type in "-window" (with the dash) and this will cause the game to run in a window no matter what the aspect ratio is set to.
Finally, set it to the correct ratio in the video options in game and remove the "-window" from the launch options to go to fullscreen next time you play.
If this doesn't work, I don't know why it goes to a black screen.
