Fear the chair

Ahem.. we recently got a new suite for the living room, leaving us with 3 chairs with no place to go. I, in my finite yet insightful wisdom, took it upon myself to take one of the chairs, and put it to good use once more...

I'm glad I have a wireless keyboard, it makes life so much easier. I generally keep it on my lap now unless I'm watching something. I must say, computer chairs are old news... This, is the future. Its so comfortable, and I'm actually excited when I enter my room and see this beast sitting in front of my computer. I can't describe just how much fun it is. Its got rid of my worn out elbows, worn out carpet and worn out arse... and surprisingly my bad posture.

You can see just what it is I'm talking about in my pictures :)

You
Will
Respect
The
Chair

Edit: I think a couple of pictures are pretty much the same... but it works for the writing :p

looks comfy :D Puts my crappy lil half broken chair to shame

Heh cool. *Looks for revealing things left out* Aha! You have an old mobile! :p
I think I'll stick with my comfy leather computer chair. ;) Doesn't the mouse get annoying on the armrest? Or does it work as well on there as on a smooth, flat surface?

cut a hole in the middle and place a bucket underneath ...you'll thank me after long stints of playing WoW :E

Cool, but the mouse on the armrest/side of the chair? Doesn't look like a very efficient surface, let alone horizontal. :p And how do you get in? A backflip? Well aside of the practical problems I do certainly grant the chair my utmost respect.

Pssssssshhhhhhhhhhhh, doesn't even swivel...

Fear my swivelling, leather chair with adjustable height.

Hehehe...

Fun

Edit:
I was actually sitting on the sofa, but forgot to put that in the picture.

I did have a new mobile, but...that went through the wash.
The mouse works fine, optical mice work on pretty much anything that isn't relective and doesn't have stripes.
As for getting in, well I've always kinda slid onto these chairs from the side anyway.

I'l uh...take that advice on board if I ever play WoW though. I had a swivel chair, but that got boring and I really don't need adjustable height, when I'm sitting in a chair comfortable enough to sleep in, and I have such flexible arrangements with the computer :D I spent several hours last night on skype sitting in this chair. Prior to that I had to spend hours sitting uncomfortably in my old chair, or drag my bed over to the computer.

I've got a nice leather swivelly chair with a desk that goes around the corner like yours, but moreso.

That's not with me at uni though :(

Those circles are garden table mats I FOUND in Tesco... I bought them thinking they looked like they might be useful for something, and then decided to stick them on my wall. Its only in that corner of the room. They break up a bare wall, but aren't distracting and if anything because of the way I've set them out, they draw the eyes in towards the monitor.

I have a crappy wooden chair. WOODEN. It's almost as bad as a stool.

You secret-interior-designer you! :p

Well I am apparently a latent gay...:O I have very few posters. Most of my decoration is either custom made for the room by myself, or its just artwork I've done which I thought would be nice on my wall :D

As a point of interest, I have been asked to design the interiors of some flats being built nearby :D Before anyone says anything, those circles are for me. I won't decorate a flat with something like that (especially since they would be pretty bare anyway) unless it suited the person the flat is aimed at.

You've not yet grasped the concept of surround sound, by the looks of things

Funky chair though, shame it doesn't swivel. My puter chair is a cross between an armchair and a swivel chair, nice and padded. Cost a bit but was well worth it

Actually, they are normally on the arm rests, but I put them on the desk so as not to knock them off...

As for swivelling. Well...I could make a joke about you people and swivelling, but I won't :p

OMG WTF BLOOM LIGHTING ROFL. I envy your chair. I broke my nice office chair by going down a hill on it and crashing into a tree. Now i have a plastic fold out chair that makes my ass numb if I sit in it incorrectly.

That's a pretty sweet chair. Tho' it doesn't swivel, which you need in my setup.

EDIT: OMG spot teh toothpaste!1

That looks pretty comfortable. Although i'm not sure if I could feel as comfortable in front of a computer with a lack of swivel. Plus I like to feel high (altitude) when I am in front of a computer, and doesn't a chair like that make you kind of sink down?

Yea but you leave your own special indent which you can sink back into later. :E

I am going out right now to buy a used recliner Thnx FLS you just got the best idea ever!

Well I've got a rocking chair :p. Unfortunately I don't have a camera handy yet, but I can safely say I'm very comfy in my fetus position. Rocking... Rocking... Rocking... Rocking... Rocking... Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...Rocking...

That is a cool setup.

Btw, did you stretch a condom over that toothpaste, or whatever that is?

Isn't it harmful to the monitor to have the subwoofer within 10" of it?

rofl, thats genius man, i always wanted to do that by i wouldnt have enough room for a massive chair like that.

hahahaha, that IS genius. you are 100% male, there.

That chair reminds me of CSI for some odd reason.

ROFLROFL that is one awsome chair...

mine's just a boring office blue swivel chair... comfy tho..

i want yours even still! :(

There's no sub there, but the monitors magnetically shielded anyway, so mag.res won't affect it :)

Lawl at the confusion over standup toothpaste

Hmmm. Looks like a 5.1 system, and yeah, that is most definitely a subwoofer :) See the cone? And the fact that it's the biggest unit of the system?

Ohhh, thought you were talking about my setup :p I have no sub, although tannoys have enough bass end on them as it is. Plus, TFTs aren't affected by magnetic fields.

I'd like to point out again. I do normally have the rear speakers... at the rear.

Whats the toothpaste thing everyone keeps talking about?
