I chose Steam.

No box, but CS:S instantly.
Play right when game is released.

I DIDN'T choose retail.

You get a box.
You get a manual.
You get cd's to admire.

Any questions?

steam, pros: now, no cd/dvd to insert, no installing
cons: no box/manual, if yr pc goes kaboom u still got the game, erm, dunno

pro's- don't have to pay S&H or stand in lines
pro's- i believe the money goes directly to valve
cons- no actual disk
pro's- VU doesn't get my money (unless from an agreed portion by Valve), VU sucks anyways.
