Retailers ETA HL2/TF2

Hello after looking at one of my fav sites to buy games online www.gamestop.com I noticed their ETA dates on a few various games including

halflife2

and

team fortress 2
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=642252

Now I think we all can say this is speculation on the release dates but I think it would be great to see these titles on these dates or earlier. Whats your thoughts on retailers guessing ETA's ?

Depends on the retailer and where there getting there info from, Gamestop might be getting there ETA from the community or other retailers who are kept updated by the publisher. As I havn't heard of them before I would say they are a minor retailer and have the same sources as we do therefor arn't worth listening too.
