For the more mature users in here:

Which machine was your first, or do you hold closest to your heart? (like a true nerd)

(poll coming btw)

\m/ AMIGA! \m/

Everything that has to do with the amiga holds some of my favourite (and also earliest) memories.. Practising your trigger-finger skills in Project X (too bad that kind of skill is dead now :( ) and stuff.. My family was alot into the demogroup scene aswell. Those were the days..

We had an old BBC, but the one I really got into was the AMIGA 500. Now Amigas were far superior to PC's, but for some reason they never took off so much. I suspect it was down to advertising of some sort.

First machine I ever used was a BBC but I absolutely hated it.

Spectrum forever :D

There's all sorts of weird and wonderful machines that never quite made it to popularity (hence why there's the 'OTHER' option) :)

Some are popular but are even before my time, so ... meh, what can you do :P

Voting 'other' may help though :D

My big brother's C64 was the first, I guess. After that I bought an Amiga 500 (I can't remember the year but Amiga was almost dead), which pwn3d.

PCs took off because they were relatively cheap and had open architechture, e.g anyone could make new hardware.

Amiga 500...

Glad I've got an emulator.

<Goes off to play another round of Ruff 'n' Tumble>

My dad are a programmer so he had a bunch of computers from the 70´s and 80´s which i cant remeber the names of. I was pretty young when i started so thats probably why i cant remember them :)

One i do remember is the Commodore 64.

I'm the only person that had (has) a spectrum? I thought they were really popular ;(
