Rise of Nations (2) : Rise of Legends | A big huge turn from what expected...

I think most of you know Rise Of Nations , a startegy game showed us how real startegy games should be. And everyone thought that RoN2 will be a 3D game. and it will have more civilizations and more units. but nobody thought it will be in a fantasy world.Read the IGN preview for more info

Looks very, very nice. I love strategy games, but I can't stand Sci-Fi RTS games for some reason and yes that includes StarCraft. On top of that I like RON less than the EE and AOE series. So despite it's pleasant apperance I won't be indulging in this one.

Looks completely awesome to me. The totally different civilization types will allow for some amazingly unique units. I cant wait to hear what the other two civ's are.

I've been searching for a truly great real-time strategy game for ages. Ground Control 2 was reasonable, Rome: Total War was too slow for me. Dawn of War quickly bored me with its similar gameplay patterns.... In fact, no strategy games have interested me since the first Rise of Nations. And now two great RTSs this year.

AoE III and RoN 2 will definitely keep me occupied.

I liked the first one, but it just became create units-attack-create units-attack after you had upgraded. I'm tired of that boring gameplay style now.

Woah, that looks a helluva lot better than the first. But, as people no doubt know, I'm a sucker for sci-fi/fantasy, especially Arcanum-esque RTS crossovers

Most RTSs suffer from the "tank rush" symptom, it'd be nice to see what they can throw into the mix...

The art direction of this game is great looking at some of the screenshots at their website. Almost reminiscent of a Guild Wars RTS. The ones in this thread...not so good.

No – to me that would imply doing a history game. This is a new direction for the franchise that could easily become its own series. Yeah, that's what I thought, similar in fashion to Age of Mythology.
