RO wins MSU!!

so, do you think they'll go commercial with the mod [game] ?

I hope so. Red Orchestra is a blast to play ... do a 64 person Lan event. PURE. WAR. :D

I sincerily hope RO goes retail, i'l be first in line to buy. Problem is with the mod still available (albeit a less polished version) the game may not be too sucessful. So in a way I hope they start an IP. But most of all I just want to see RO on shelves and gain hype such as BIA or MOH because I would love to see a huge player/fan base. Also would like to see the polish added because I know how damn capable that team is and with a full license they will be able to do some damn cool things for they're franchise. Only problem is alot of the team departed for games like BIA and HL2 mod like Jeremy with his amazing looking Insurgency, and I can only hope that some team -mates return to work on a retail version of RO (or whatever project they decide to use the lincense on) whatever the case I cant wait to see the future of RO and it's developers as it can only be good one.

 to RO retail /crosses fingers

Maybe it'll get picked up by Epic like Counter-Strike/Day of Defeat were by Valve.

But yeah, I'm going to install UT2004 again and try out the newest version, I remember when someoen made a thread on here about v1.0 being released and I really, really didn't like it, hopefully it's improved ;)

I hope not, I can see Epic newbifying it and making it as unrealistic as sin.

The RO team can get a UE3 engine license, so prefare for some beautiful graphics in the future.

Yessssssssss. It was a pretty easy win in the end.

Is it the UE3 engine? I always thought it would be the UE2 engine.

Either/or.

I think we can guess the RO team will be choosing UE3. :)

I thought they won both Miccy - as in the liscense gives them access to the current engine and all the ones released in the future.

But still, great to hear, plus MG42 and bot support for 3.2 ! :D :D :D

That's worth way more than $1,000,000.

It's a $250,000 engine license, one engine only.
