Romania?

I think i have some proof that City 17 and its surroundings are in fact in Romania...

I found this sign near the truss bridge in the coastal segment... it had some writing on it

so i looked up a few words of it on google and all these romanian sites popped up... so i think i can safely say that city 17 is really in romania.

Actually...

There are also a lot of signs and stuff in other languages, like Russian, Swedish, Czech and more. So I really think VALVe just mixed a lot of european countries in the game.......

yea the gas stations deal in swedish kroner, the signs are in russian, various balkan languages abound, and the aerial view is based on st. petersburg
it's just a big mix

Sure it can be Latvia too.. There still is left many russian, and other language signs from USSR time.... Latvia is perfect place what conqure, it is very close to sea and it have Rigas bay, which is also perfect place where to create city...

It looks like Romanian to me... I was there a while back when we adopted my little brother, I can still recognize (to some extent) the language.

Would Valve, who seems to be attentive to all sorts of detail, just jumble up a bunch of signs in different European languages for nothing? Or perhaps is it another clue as to what's going on? Or have I had way too many beers and now its time for beddy bye?
