Played the demos of both? Are you a fan of RTS's or FPS's? You can't exactly compare them, they probably both would be a good choice but I'd get Far Cry.

Its from a rather adult themed anime pic I happaned to find, I have no idea what anime it is though, dont really care much.

edit: on topic, personally I like farcry more, but thats cus I hate rome total war, I dont much like realistic battles like that. They bore me.

I'd say Far Cry, because I don't play RTS games. Just mostly FPS and TPS.

R:TW, it lasts longer too me becuase of the crappy multiplayer on Far Cry.

If you like RTS, get Rome: Total War (it's fantastic - and will last you ages)

Far Cry was pretty good imo, but got boring after a week or so.

R:TW, is a classy game that is already hailed as the best game of it's genre released this year.

Far Cry, is an over-the-top solid action game that feels like a summer action movie.

Both are different; both are fun. You can't really go wrong with either title.

Rome: Total War has easy contention for game of the year (possibly just under HL2 ), let alone genre game of the year, and it'll last a vast amount of time. Just try playing long campaigns for each faction, and you'll see what I mean.

Good choice, I liked RTW better than Far Cry, more replayability I believe
