Route Kanal...stuck

I am now stuck in Route Kanal. I will try to describe where I am at.

There are two rooms adjoining each other. The only way to get to the second room is to jump from the ladder onto the exhaust pipe, walk along the pipe and jump down off the pipe to the other side of the room. There is a little hallway with an electrical bow on the left. The next room has water below me, with another ladder. The ladder goes down into the water, but there is nothing below the water. There was a supply crate that I broke open that has I believe 4 health packets. The room is enclosed in bars.

I hope you can figure out where I am.

Get on the pipes in the first room using the ladder.
Get to the second room using the pipes.
Fall until you reach a red valve, 'use' it.

You should know what to do next.

I don't know if we are talking about the same rooms. To get from the first to second room, there is a small hall-way. I don't have to get to the second room by using pipes. I do see a red valve, but cannot get to it, either by jumping or climbing.

I am stuck.

Is the first room the one with all the explosive barrels and manhacks?

Go in your controls and set a key to 'bind screen shot (I think it's near the bottom) the screenshot will appear in Steam\SteamApps\YourAccount\half-life 2\hl2\screenshots

Opposite the ladder there is a tangle of pipes; they're a little obvious, considering they take up most of that little area . Jump onto one of them, and just drop from pipe to pipe until you reach the valve.

I tried the screen shot...but did not get anywhere with that.

I can get on one of the pipes, in the far right corner. They only way to get to that pipe is by hopping out of the water. I can see the valve from there, but I cannot get to it. When I jump toward it I go right back in the water. I tried jumping from the platform over to the 2 silver pipes, but cannot make it that far. If I could do that then I could reach the vavle...sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

You have to jump onto the pipes from the platform at the top of the ladder.

Go back to the previous room, you will find a ladder in the midddle of the room that will take you to the top of the pipes, follow them until you reach the room with the valve, from there just jump down to the valve.
