RPG explosion not showing on textures

My wall and ceiling textures do not have the RPG rocket explosion show up. Are there certain textures that work? How do I know in advanced? Any tips would be helpful. Thanks.
 
You mean the decal - the scorch mark - doesn't show up?

They aren't displacements are they? (I can't think why they would be) Rockets are a bit wierd with displacements.

Are they brushes or entities? func_details? func_brushes?

As per the post above - your texture name didn't have "model" in its path, did it?

No, the scorch marks are not showing up at all.
 
Dude - we want to help, but we need more info (and maybe a screenshot).

Start with my questions above.

if you dont understand what we are sayin you should read some tuts and stuff, cause that kind of thing is pretty basic (referring to brushes and entities). read through the verc documention here http://www.valve-erc.com/srcsdk/Hammer/html/Hammer_Users_Guide.html and that might help you become familiar with the basics of hammer. as for your question, yeah that happens to me too. usually to my walls and not my floor though. its not THAT big of a deal is it?
