And you know that it'll take 30 days because your experience in the field of game development is very extensive right? (note the sarcasm)

It would be wise not to pull out numbers like that without some facts to back it up. As far as I know, RC are played through a few times to make sure there are no bugs. If they play and there are no bugs then it's gold, simple as that. I highly doubt that will take 30 days. I think the first Half-life had 1 RC, and it tested very quickly.

30 days for bug testing is just...crap. Especially since valve does there own in-house testing as well as the CS:S beta.

Being that i Live in Florida im already bracing for catastrophe but anyways to point. I think as someone already mentioned hl2 might be going for a horrible catastrophe in video game history, its just that its not fresh anymore and longer they wait the more godley it has to be to make up for the whole "Rotting" time, not to be pesimist just bracing for another storm.

So really, it's about tuning the game, tuning the game and tuning the game. When we feel we've got the quality level then we'll release it.

I got this info from a store called babbages, it is a local gameing store, I have had hl2 on reserve there for quite some time, anyhows I was in there looking around yesterday and I asked the 2 people at the counter if they had heard yet when hl2 would be out, there answer was it was delayed again and it would be november.

if VALVe dont make a September release, i do believe they will be hacked again...and there will be a huge uproar from having to push back Vampires The Masquerade from its early October release. Blood will lie in the wake of another delay.
