After a long time... another render from our mod: the S&W 5906 pistol ;)

Polycount is 1224.

Looking for 2D-ARTIST to skin it! No UVW-ing necessary!
 
that looks like a pretty good model. but the render is bad because the light is way too harsh(bright). its hard to make out the model.
but it looks good and poly count is low.

Do what you want with your hat... but don't eat it. Never will a skinner be found... :|
 
well at this moment in time, skinners are very hard to find. the number of mods with unskinned media is BIG.
 
Some parts/areas looks really great and some looks just terrible. But its okay =D
 
What You Meen No Uvs Necerecery? I Could Try An Skin It For You I Have No Idea How To Use Uv Maps And Have Never Skinned A Gun Before But I Could Give It A Shot.

Which look terrible?

crackhead: I'd give you a image-file that covers the texture of the model, looks like a grid. Skinners paint a skin over this grids.

Well, you don't get to see the front of it ingame anyway ;) if you mean that it's straight and not like.. round... -> that's a property of the S&W model.
 
I built it from scratch, never used any tutorials. And yes, the S&W classic pistols have some similarities to the older 1911.
 
Could you also send me the image file? I'd like to try this as my first skin :farmer: thanks!
 
Uhm, there were several people asking for the uvw-map... when working on it, you'll realize that you really need the model too, to adjust. And regarding this, I don't want to send it to anyone =/ no offense or so, just don't wanna spread my uncompiled work. I can send the uvw map alone, though, if you want to try. I can do it later...
