Sad story :(

Yeah, that really is kind of depressing :(

:O

Wow, that's probably the most surreal thing I've seen in a long while. I don't know what to say. That's...uh...I'm...speechless. :(

My lord...

...can you imagine the patience it takes to deal with people that can't understand her?

...but it's so beautiful how loved she is, and how she has people around who care for her regardless. It lets you know that there are some great people in this world...great people full of love.

Amazing.

Hopefully they can do some reconstructive surgery to give her the ability to talk. Her family seems to love her a lot though. :)

Poor child. However, it is good she is in a good family and is loved regardless of her deformities. As long as she isn't neglected as some children are by their parents...

christ that is aweful. i cant even imagine.

I hope the doctors can help her out. I just dont know what the hell to say. I wish the family the best and i will send them some money cause its all I can do, Wish I could do more.

wow that sucks, at least they show her lots of love.

seems painfull being fed throught the stomatch

I would never in my whole life be able to accept something like that. It disgusts me how humans have so many problems and how weak we are. I would shoot myself simple as that. For me there is no point in living when something like that happens. Pisses me off so much that its even posible. No i just cant accept it. Cant even look at that.

I'm glad her parents love her regardless.

Thats made me all emotional. Don't really know what to say.

Woah... That must be hard to deal with :( I hope that they can atleast give her some kind of a face...

So sweet to see how her family loves her so much. ;(

Survival of the fittest....this is the human's strength, the ability to help those not as fit as the rest. We help the others survive.

Imagine how she will feel when she is a teen. :( :(, well in any case even if she has the bad luck of living in a neighberhood whith intolerant people she can always go to chatrooms or online forums. This just makes me glad there is an internet.

I have my own problems really
then don't post in this thread, jerk.

That's sad, I feel so bad for that girl and her family... but at least she's got people who love her, so she'll be okay.

I honestly don't know what to say, I stopped watching after they started showing pictures.

I wouldn't be able to grasp it if I was the dad...I'm pretty sure I'd just jump out the hospital window. There's no way I could handle something like that.

Makes me so sad to think people have to suffer like that. on the bright side it makes me feel lucky to be the way i am.

Birth defects like that should'nt have to happen in this day and age. :(

I have to say, I found it hard to even look at the girls face.

When it comes to her health problems, she must be one of the most unluckiest people in the world and i can only hope that doctors can treat her and make her life a little less horrific and a little more easy.
When it comes to her family and the people around her and the love they show her, she has to be one of the luckiest people in the world.

Anyone that is able to call her disgusting, is nothing but ignorant.

I suppose its no comfort that its a natural response...I think I'm quite good when it comes to basically being indifferent to defects that people have, but something as extreme as that is very hard to simply not notice.

Oh wow, that really was quite emotional ;(

It's sad, yet touching to see that she has such a loving family. I really do hope everything goes well for her.

omg thats sad...:( i quit watching as well when they showed her face...well whats supposed to be her face...:( next time you feel "ugly" think of that girl, who would give anything to look like anyone else. At least shed be able to speak.

what would you guys if your wife that baby, would you abandon it or keep it?

for me it would be really hard, but i think i would keep it

Honistly i dont think i will be able to keep it. Dont know i think as soon as docters find out something like that is wrong with the kid. They should have a abortion. Why would you let a kid be born like that?

So she could have a chance at experiencing life, however short?

I honestly agree, I would probably take it further, but this is not the time/place to mention my opinion on that.

Did you not see her laughing and playing? I did.
laughing and playing around people who are her family, or doctors.

i doubt she will be laughing when she reaches puberty.

No, she won't. If she makes it that long alive. But, we can't abort children just because they might be made fun of by the other children.

though i'm against abortion in general, i think this would be the exception.

1. theres no reason she wont live a very long life
- the question is, what kind of life is that? is it WORTH it to be constantly monitered, not ever fitting in, not being able to eat unless its pumped directly into your stomach? ask yourself if youd like to live like that.
2. agreed, but being made fun of isnt the issue, the issue is standard of living. and that is NO way to live.

ultimately, and tragically, she becomes a burden to the system, occupying a bed of someone who probably would use it to more effect. its bad i know, but its true.
