Is it ok to run my computer with one sidepanel of the case missing,I'm doing this becuase my PSU doesn't fit in the case properly.

Oh, and I'm running my 9800SE off a 230W PSU :)

Am I safe?

Should be fine. Just keep it away from any dust. Up off the floor.

Should help the cooling, too.

I'm not sure about the PSU-graphics card problem. Perhaps not. I've heard that you should use at least 300W.

Well the side panel thing is just fine, i've used so many machines without a side pannel, my old one didn't have a side pannel for 5 years and it was just fine. It kinda hurts your cooling though i've read, the air isn't as focused and more of the power of the wind tunnel is lost to the outside.

The real issue is how few watts the PSU is putting out. What kind of system are you running, (memmory, fans, processor, hard drives) with how many fans. I mean i'd recomend upgrading, the requirements for the 9800 Pro are a 300W PSU minimum.

No case fans.

PC133 256mb RAM (ewww)
Athelon XP1800+
52x CD drive
40gb HD

thats about it :)

I'm upgrading this wednesday ;)

For this amount of time it should be fine, but (as long as you have decent cooling) your system may run hotter with the case side off.

Yea you should be good in general then. I was afraid you were running either a P4 above 2 Ghz or like a 2800+ AMD, and you're still running PC133 ram which doesn't have the same power drain as DDR, so you should be fine, if you start to get instability though look toward the power source first, though i don't think you will have to worry about it.

Am I the only one who thinks of it as Dance Dance Revolution Memory?

When I upgrade I'll be running off a 400W PSU, with a 2600+ AMD Athelon and 768mb DDR RAM
