So, I just got hold of some Savlia Divinorum. Any advise from our HL2.net drug guru's to prepare me for the ride?

Oh yeah, I was planning on taking it with a trip sitter in case you were wondering.

From what i've heard, it's going to suck.

The fact that it doesn't last very long is meaningless. Subjective time perception is completely annihilated by these sorts of drugs, there are dozens of trip reports about people smoking Salvia and having trips that last 5 minutes in reality but they feel like it was 12 hours. Or years. Also, nothing can prepare you for salvia. Just have a sitter and hope for the best.

That actually sounds pretty scary...gah, I dunno. I mean, I want to try it, and I have a trip sitter.

But lasting years. D: I think I am gonna go for it anyway, you only live once 'ey; maybe it won't even do anything at all.

I am against the usage of drugs, and support the illegalization of such psychedelic or psychoactive narcotics for the following reasons:


#1. It's harmful. Ok, I know that MJ may not be any more harmful than tobacco, but since I hate smoking as well, doesn't matter. Seriously, its gonna make you lose a quite a few brain cells, and a whole bunch of other side effects that I don't have time to list here.

#2. Drugs are taken for what reason? Pleasure. But unlike other activities like reading, watching TV, or even gaming, it is completely unconstructive (OK, there's TV, but by watching TV, you actually learn something from time to time). And to boot, it's addictive. A life spent only for pleasure isn't really much of a life, imo. If you are living a healthy, fortunate life, you really shouldn't need drugs at all.


I could go on and on, but I don't wanna get flamed, and state that this is only my opinion, and I do not think any less highly of you wonderful people as I view this matter as somewhat cultural. :E



Btw, I think Salvia is classified as a "herb product" here, I need to check.

You will want someone sober watching over you to make sure you don't do anything stupid, you never know how you will react to this.

Best way to smoke it is using some kind of water pipe, smoking it out of a regular pipe isn't recommended.

Salvia was pretty intense when i first tried it, I only had the weak stuff but I was tripping balls.
I found myself in a corridor of time but I lost the way back to the real world. lol.

I tried it once with a friend ... did it a few times in one night. I had a bit different experience than the other people here. I basically just fell into the couch and was totally unable to move, the first time my friend and I spent most of the trip laughing uncontrollably. Other than that it just made me feel kinda weird ... but no hallucinations or anything. She reported a dreamlike experience though.

We used 5x ... wouldn't mind stepping it up and trying something stronger. Is the difference between 5x and 20x or 30x significant? As a side note we did it in a very relaxed environment and the experience was purely pleasurable, nothing particularly "scary".

The first and last time I did salvia I laughed till it hurt. My buddy and I each took a couple of large rips and waited for a minute or two. I didn't feel it at first, but after a minute or so i started chuckling. That small chuckle turned into one of the most uproariously loud laughter sessions my friend and I had ever had. We laughed uncontrollably and loudly for about 5 minutes straight. I don't know what was so damn funny, but something escaped that day that I still laugh about even now. It was the greatest laughing experience of my life.

I had one of the most memorable laughing experiences of my life doing Salvia. I would recommend it if whoever I recommended it to had the same experience.
