The Samurai Legends mod, one of the mods highlighted in a recent Steam Update by Valve, has just released a new gameplay movie for us all to watch. To view the movie, visit the Movie section of their website.

[br]The team would also like to announce that the mod will be openly playable to the public this Friday (June 17th) at the Guildhall Exhibition being held in Plano, Texas. The exhibiton is open to the public and free of charge, so make sure to show up between 5 and 9pm for a chance to play the mod.

doenst look that nice :( !! it looks a bit like hl1 ... not hl2, there mapping skills are limited.. but they have there mod, i dont have one of my own .. :p

I didn't think it looked that bad, better than half the tripe that is out there. I think it could look better if they polished it for longer. I thought the maps looked nice.

Cheers,
bbyybb.

I liked the maps and the animations. I'm not to sure about the melee though as they didn't show it off too well.

the actual fighting portion looks a liitle lame...like a diablo II based clik and slasher. But good mapping....it has nice style.

yeah they said its suppose to be like world of warcraft so am guessing melee combat is all point-click I bop you you bop me lol. The models are nice though like the armors and stuff. Then again they only worked on the mod for like 5 months.

They should've done the melee combat like the Jedi Knight series.

Don't judge a mod too harshly from it's first video. Most of the battle is actually getting something that you can even take a video of. The polish comes later. Of course, they could have spent all their time making the models and maps look photorealistic and breathtaking....then, you know, toss that minor thing called gameplay mechanics in last minute, too show off the unbelievably great looking art 'sarcasm'. Counterstrike looked pretty crappy in it's initial release - look where it ended up.

Maps look nice. Other stuff looks allright. Hard to judge graphics from a meh-quality video. The combat looks a bit clunky, but who knows, it may turn out great.

Anyone know what that means?

The environment reminds me of No One Lives Forever 2. God I wish monolith would make another one.

Sorry for the incomprehenisible sentance there... I was just trying to point out that getting something playable and worth taking video of, is a battle in itself. I wouldn't expect a polished mod at this stage of development. Meh..

What are you guys talking about, i though it looked great, the mapps were really well done, and i dodnt expect half the modles i saw. good job guys, keep up the good work.
