Sand Traps... "Junk" Gate

There's a gate... made out of wood and other junk... I need to open it... I see the electricity line going to the house, and I see the controls in the house, but none of them do crap! what do I do?

In the house there are 3 little...holders, you need to put batteries in them. The first 1 is in the holder, the second is on the desk, the third is outside. Go outside, look up, you will see a water tower with stuff on it, shoot the stuff, throw shit at it, whatever, get the batts, put them in the holders, voila

hmm there must be more than 3 batteries, cuz i found one of mine in a car outside

Yeah.. I searched a car, but couldnt get the hood open, then I spun around and saw one on the windmill

you dont have to get the hood open, you should be able to pull it thought the dented hood

I've finished the game, so my way obviously worked too then. I got the grav gun out, and found that there was a few long sheets of corrogated iron lying about. With a bit of trickery, I leaned them against the barrier to form a steep ramp. Then I cleared the runaway, hit turbo for all it was worth, and cleared it .

That part was so annoying... I thought those 'batteries' were toasters like forever...

Yep, I just drove up to the gate them blew the buggy over it with the grav gun. I'll go back on the second run through the game and look for those batteries.
