Their are many good things in life..Half life 2,sex and heavy metal music first spring to mind but their is another that is equally important.

Yes you have guessed..sandwiches.

My favourite is a breadcake with fillet steak, roast potatoes, lettuce with cheese and salad cream.

Utterly divine.:)

So whats your favourite sarnie.?

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a sandwich boor; I love any combination of meat, cheese and lettuce.

Egg Mayonaise, Prawn Mayonaise, or pretty much anything with chicken in.

Start with a french roll. Toast it. Spread a moderate amount of mayonnaise--or aioli if you can; that's zesty garlic mayonnaise made with dijon mustard, white vinegar, egg yolks, white pepper, garlic cloves (you want whole garlic cloves, and then you mince them), little bit of olive oil, some lemon, and salt. Spread that on the roll.

Then you layer with lettuce, some swiss cheese.

And then you want turkey. And I don't mean the thin slices of turkey you get from the deli, I mean CHUNKS of turkey meat laid in there.

And then bacon bits. Sprinkle bacon bits as desired. That's my favorite sandwich recipe.

This. And pretty much just that. I dont like complicated foods. Leave the lettuce, mayo, tomatoes etc. Just give me meat, cheese, buttered bread. But the best meat is definately freshly cooked turkey cut off in chunks.

Whatever sandwich i make it has to contain whole cherry tomatoes. the way they explode when bitten ensures for a messy but very tasty experience!

Gouda Cheese + Decent meat (smoked ham, high-quality poultry) + mayonnaise + lettuce + tomato slices + sandwich = divine

cheese, pickle and ham.

with branston pickle, only quality imported cheese and quality ham
jummss

Breakfast roll. Anyone who's ever been near an Irish building site should know what I'm talking about.

?BER-TOAST
Bacon/ham/salami/some other variety of deceased pig
Cheese
Tomato-y pasta sauce or tomato pur?e - NOT ketchup.
Bread (natch)

Carefully arrange the ingredients so they're centred and not oozing out of the sides. Yet.
Put your piled-high sandwich into a toasty maker and you have the best toasty in the entire world, also known as ?ber-Toast.

That is all.

Yeeeehaw.

Fresh hot roast pork sandwich with stuffing, straight from the butchers. Godlike!

Subways: 12" toasted Italian BMT with lettuce, sweetcorn, gerkin, onion and barbeque sauce.

Yum.

Thick, meaty spaghetti sauce, cold, with mayo. Mmm.

Or a proper philly cheesesteak.

penutbutterjelly. penutbutterjelly. peunutbuterjellywithabaseball bat--->

My kinda sandwich would be pieces of steak, lettuce, marble cheese, pickles, mustard, barbecue sauce, and toasted whole wheat sub bread, but not in that order. :p

white or wheat bread with lettuce, tomato, onion, and anyone of jalapenos, banana peppers, pickles, or green peppers. If green peppers then also some salt. Black olives randomly. This is my lunch almost daily from school lunch place.

Yum

I had one for lunch today.

You take homemade or any other thick crusted bread and spread a very, very light layer of butter or margarine across one side on both pieces. On top of that, sprinkle various herbs and spices to flavor the bread (I use this mix meant for bread dips... you take the spices and herbs in the mix and combine with olive oil for bread dips, but it works well like this). Take the knife and make sure the herbs are well secured and then flip it over. Next, layer your choice of lunch meats (I use deli sliced turkey and ham, more ham than turkey ;)) and a slice of American cheese (or any other type you like; provolone is good too). Place the other bread piece with the butter side up and the lower piece butter side down so both butter sides are touching the panini grill. Toast until golden brown or until the cheese is melted.

meatball sandwich with tomato sauce (pasta sauce) and lettuce on wholemeal bread. Also chicken salad sandwiches and tuna salad sandwiches. As you can tell, when it comes to sandwiches, I'm very healthy!!!
Ah! I just remembered: sausage buttarties with onions! How could I forget them?!

Bread, mayo, and tomato slices go really well together.
I also like to make egg sammiches - with either omelette or fried egg in it, with gherkins, mayo and ketchup.

Oh, an gouda cheese, if there's any. Toss a slice into either of those two.

I accidentally invented some brilliant ones.

Like get one of those small cuisine-de-france rolls, heat it (if it isn't still hot from being baked) and put in a milky bar. Mmmmmm.

Proscuitto and mozzerella cheese on toasted bread with vinegar and onions.
