Satisfy your voyeuristic pleasures with a live webcam!

because of the title, i thought it was an ad for a pr0n site.

bleh.

But it doesn't include the words hot action, so it can't possibly be an ad. for porn!

Yeah it is, thought the title would make for more participants though!
It is voyeuristic though, watching other people in resteraunts, pubs and clubs.

Personally i don't see much wrong with it though, but i do think that anywhere with a webcam should display a sign, like you get saying the area is under CCTV surveillance.

me too. then, you wouldn't pick your nose or do anything embarrasing.

I don't see the big deal.. if your in a public place your gonna be watched anyway, by other people.. so why would it matter if yourt being watched on a low quality webcam by people in another country who have absolutely no idea who you might be, and your only one of possible thousands of other people anyway.. And if your worried about being seen doing something embarrasing.. don't do it in public.

I agree with everything you said, but it would be nice if they did have a sign or something, just for courtesy if anything. No biggy if not, but if i did something like that, filming people on my property i'd definatly let them know.

That would be better, no more crime and other anti-social behavior.

Hardly. Its not what you might call an invasion of privacy. You're being watched in a public place.

Well.. I used to work with this one guy, who ,well lets just say one of his jobs was filming certain kinds of porn.. Anyways the guy he worked for, rich bloke.. He also had another line of porn which was the voyeuristic kind.. This involved placing hidden camera's in public washrooms, toilets in various places, McDonalds being one of them (the manager would get a few hundred quid to keep quiet) and the end of every day he'd collect the video's, remove all the underage stuff, and the rest would be fair game for his websites and video's.

There's no signs about those. And those I don't agree with, since they are an invasion of privicy. If its in a normally private area, then its wrong IMO.. If its in a public area where you could be seen by others anyway, then its fair game really.

Point is, don't use public restrooms. Ever wondered when someone's come up to you and said "do I know you?" now you know where from hehe.

i'm now going to stay in my house, with the blinds closed...

think about it, if your having a private conversation during dinner at a restaraunt, and a webcam/cctv is pointed at you, with a microphone listening to what you are talking about,

i'd call that invasion of privacy imo :hmph:

Then don't have private conversations...in puclic places
Anyone sitting nearby can lsiten in if they want to, its really not that hard.

so your ruling out having private conversations in ALL public places, thats insane...

obviously these days people tend to sit away from the people in resteraunts to have a private chat.

your expecting the people to walk all the way home, close all the doors and covor up the windows just to have a private chat? LOL

You're missing the point. Regardless of whether you think you're in privacy, its still a public place. You can still sit away from the microphone as well....oh yeah, you don't know its there. But then you might not know there is a guy standing just round the corner from you, yet he doesn't have a sign indicating his presence either.

How do you know if they haven't got cameras now?

You may as well take away cameras from petrol stations for invading the privacy of what pump you use while robberies would take place.

so say..i was walking down an empty street with a friend and was talking about personal stuff, should i zip my mouth remembering that there are microphones and cameras on me, listening and watching everything i do.:upstare:

LOL, im telling you, thats not right.. im sorry...

i agree with the cameras for crime of course, but why the microphones?

what are we gonna have next reality shows following people around the city, i call that stalking. dont you?

thats one person...not a million people listening from round a corner which is the equivalent. plus eavesdropping sometimes cannot be helped but to actually go out your way to set up something that eavesdrops, isn't right morally. you'd have a different opinion if you were caught talking to yourself about how good bacon is in bed on a candid camera show that would be broadcast to millions

THEY ARE WATCHING YOU... Forever staring, forever........

:borg:

yeah, obviously have cameras there, but not the microphones, thats just ridiculous, ROFL

what if they were planning a rebellion? you couldn't stop them if you didn't know what they were doing.

just so everyone knows, i'm not watching big brother this year because i realised that its just the saddest program

/me is confused

what are you talking about?

edit: Big brother is a show or something?

its a show where stupid desperate wankers go on a show for 64 days and complete degrading tasks and try to bump uglies in the night to boost the shows ratings...i don't know why i watched the others

yeah Big Brother is a show thats popular in a lot of countries.

its a reality TV show, 12 housemates go in a house for 70+ days

But what makes you think your private conversation is of any interest to anyone else in the world? the webcam and microphone would be watching thousands of people daily, in just one location. and if it did have some kind of microphone, it would be recording conversations from all those people.. hundreds of conversations at once, who in the world is going to care about your conversation about a boil you found on your left nut. I'm sure there will be other people with far more interesting conversations going on, on other camera's, in other parts of the world, millions of people having millions of conversations, all at the same time.

You'd need a computer thats more powerful than every PC in the world, years to take all that apart and do something useful with it. The most you could expect is for something to lock onto certain words for advertising purposes, but even then its pushing it.

Quoted from the article:

"But we still can't help worrying about two things: first, the ghastly mental picture of being observed eating with our hands and our face smeared with barbecue sauce (or sucking spilt beer out of our shirt, or swatting a young tron's arse with terrible geezer desperation, etc.)"

He certainly gets around doesn't he?

One person or a million I really don't care. I don't know why I'm even bothing... I couldn't care for these cameras, but my point is that its a public space, so you shouldn't expect privacy. Making that presumption is naive.

true but thats just my opinion...i don't agree with stuff like that. it sounds stupid but its one step towards a big brother nation. soon, you'll probably be seeing a television programme called worlds craziest toilet shitters and it'll be hidden cameras in a bathroom with normal people doing stupid things like baking bread or eating sliced ham while having a dump
