Saturday Job--- The bane of my life

Therefore i have quit..... I worked out that i really didn't need the money so it was a waste of my time, i've managed to get by so far with a £15 a week paper round so why waste a saturday? Just means i'll have to save twice as long for something than if i switched for the job.

NB: i WILL get a job in the future but i might aswell mooch while i still can

That's the spirit!

I've had a summer job each summer for three years now, started the summer I was 16.

Wait one more year and become a Paintball Marshall like me :D

Amazing sport. Good fun. Loads of laughs. You feel important. So much to do each day. Every group is different.

Plus Paintball is just ****ing cool. End of.

i'm probably getting a job as a telemarketer...LOL i know i hate them just as much as the rest of the world does but the pay is pretty good for a highschool student. $9.00/hr and if you sell 1 thing (dunno what i'm selling yet) per hour for 4 hours then you get commission which is $16.00/hr :D

I heard people quit after like a few months cuz they can't take it anympre, but oh well, i'm saving up for a brand new pc...or maybe ps3? or 360??

lol i made a rhyme :D

Dodgy telemarketing companies - the kind which hire students with no experience - attract people through lies and false promises. You will not earn anything even close to $25/hr, I guarantee you.
That kind of nuisance calling, throw enough shit at the wall and hope it sticks sales is a very psychologically demanding job with few rewards.

I sold home security systems for two months, 20 hours a week. On a good week I sold three. On a bad week I sold none at all. On an absolutely exceptional week I sold five. I was also the best performer in the company.
The majority of people didn't last half a week. These kinds of telemarketing companies are the Western equivalent of sweatshops. The most that you can hope to take away from that job is a little wisdom and cynicism.

Admittedly, it's extremely valuable experience to put on my CV now that I'm getting into sales. But I imagine you aren't looking to get into sales.

Airsoft > paintball.

For two years, I've had a minimum wage Saturday job that starts at 6AM. Every single saturday. But it's radio, so I deal with it.

*laughs so hard at the sheer stupidity of the possibility of the chances of the statement that he falls off his cliff*

What makes paintball better then?
Is it the woefully inaccurate guns (sorry, "markers"), the total lack of realism, the lack of tactical depth, the rampant political correctness, the extreme expense...?

Ok, i just got a saturday job and worked once on saturday just gone. It's in a shop and it is THE most tedious thing i've ever done, honestly you could train a monkey to do this.

Then do it!

You sir, forgot about one thing, so obscure that you may not even have heard of it.

It's called personal opinion.

BTW; I don't like both paintball and airsoft. Sue me.
